Lin would love to work with, and for honest and
transparent people. He has communicated this idea
through a three dimensional acrylic set, where
materials were carefully decided to relate these values
to the design. The packaging design includes his
personal fascination with flowers and Typography to
help describe himself. Lin hand selected roses
that worked well for printing based on figure/ground
relationships. The letterforms and flower scans
were divided horizontally, with one third of each
section printed on each acrylic sheet. He laser
cut sheets of 12 x 24 x .118 inch three-ply Basswood
and assembled the design himself. Thanks to the
Polytechnic Lab at Arizona State University, Lin was
able to print on the challenging mediums. He
hopes potential employers enjoy the printed message
realized upon assembly, and the careful craft.
